I am back today with another Teacher Appreciation gift idea…..
When I found these green Ball mason jars in the store I grabbed a box because I thought the color was cool.
I had a couple of ideas of what I wanted to do with them, how to decorate, put inside, etc. and so happy with the end result. Not too much decorating the bottle itself but the lid is what I spent my time on for this project.

Succulent flowers are the trend right now. I am not going to say I am a huge fan of succulent flowers as I think they are kind of plain (oh no!) but they have a softness about them and are growing on me.
I glued the lid to the ring of the mason jar with E6000 glue. I wrapped the edge of the mason jar ring with green chevron washi tape.
To make the faux succulent on top of lid – I used my technique I shared in this video of how to make burlap flowers using my cuttlebug. I used green burlap and the Sizzix Big Die – Tattered Florals by Tim Hotz. I just used the large flower in the set and layered on top of each other four times offsetting the petals. I then used the two smaller flowers for the very top of inner part of the succulent. Hot glue worked great.
For the label tag I wanted to use a chalkboard background. I found a free one here at this site.
I imported the background into PicMonkey and used the program to make the wording on the tag.
I added the p.s. You were my favorite for a little fun. 🙂

I used jute to tie the tag onto the jar.
