Here I am. Six months. Half a year. 184 days.

I’m sharing this today to mark my journey. If I am blessed to look back, I want to remember where I was and how far God has carried me.

Here I am.
Six months. Half a year. How can this be?

It seems like a lifetime… and yet, it feels just like yesterday.

Only God. The One who knows all, and faithfully cares for me.

This evening, I had the sweetest visit with our granddaughter, Audrey Dawn. She will be 10 weeks old on Tuesday, and she’s starting to coo, smile, and track movement with her eyes. 💕

I whispered to her that PoPo should be here with Fanny so we could enjoy this together. She gave me the sweetest little coo, then a smile that was almost a laugh. I asked her if you visit her in her dreams… and she gave me the sweetest smile again.🎀 🥹

Losing you was one of the greatest heartbreaks of my life.

But God has been near in every step, every tear, every quiet moment.

I am still learning how to carry this grief, but I am also learning how faithful God is in carrying me.

I miss you every day, my forever love.
Until we meet again. 🕊️

p.s. I know you're so proud of Luna and Rondo 🐾 as they get along with Jit and Joker 🐱 ~ just like you told them they would. You always said, “You don’t have to like each other, but you’re gonna have to get along.” 😂 Rondo still misses his swinging buddy every time we sit on the porch.  xo!
