As I approach the one-year mark since God called Ricky Home this weekend, I've been reflecting on just how faithful God has been through every step of this journey.
Not long after Ricky went to Heaven, I came across this worship song by Praise Soundwaves. I've listened to it countless mornings, and every single lyric has ministered to my heart. Especially these words:
"In the waiting and the breaking... in the questions I have known... You were faithful, You were gentle..."
Those words describe this past year better than I ever could.
There have been many tears, many quiet moments, and many days when it has been just me and God. Through it all, He has never left my side. His goodness has carried me, His grace has sustained me, and His love continues to hold me.
