The Little Yellow Cap....

The Little Yellow Cap....

Another little “first” to mark on this journey.

A warning light came on in my new Jeep recently. Nothing serious — just low windshield washer fluid. Simple enough, right? Well… first I had to figure out where in the world Jeep hid the reservoir! 😆

After searching under the hood and looking right past the bright yellow cap more than once, I finally found it. If it had been a snake, it would've bitten me!

I laughed, but then came that familiar little ache.

Ricky always did these things for me. I never had to know where the washer fluid went or what every little light meant. I just asked Ricky, and he took care of it. He was so good at keeping up with vehicle maintenance.

These are the little everyday moments when I miss him so much.

But they're also the moments that remind me how far I've come. I'm learning. I'm figuring things out. And sometimes I'm even laughing at myself along the way.

Today it was just windshield washer fluid. But to me, it was another little reminder:

I CAN DO HARD THINGS.

Not because I want to do all of these things without him, but because I have to — and because God continues to give me the strength for each new “first.”

One day at a time. ❤️

Progress looks different after loss, but it still matters.
