To see your Baby holding His Baby....

Early in our marriage, Ricky had this Cancun hat — and he wore that thing everywhere (for years). If we’d had phones back then, most of our photos would’ve been of him in that hat. Being married to a man who loved his caps, I quickly learned that if it wore good, it was a keeper. Ricky always took such good care of his things, and when he was done with something, he’d tuck it away in its special spot.

After he decided to retire the Cancun hat, it found its place on the top shelf of his closet. After he was promoted by God , I let the boys choose a few keepsakes that meant something to them. Skyler asked for the Cancun hat — and now I understand why.

To know that Skyler is carrying his dad with him on the day his daughter was born… it’s beyond heartfelt.

And the blue jean jacket Skyler is wearing? That’s after my dad. And now, with my DIL's mother also promoted by God, my granddaughter has three very special guardian angels watching over her from the very start.
