I’ve always used my crock pot for cooking dinners but it was mostly reserved for Sundays. This was the day I was at home and could “be there” if something went wrong. I don’t know I guess I had this fear that if I would leave it plugged in all day when I was at work it would start a fire and burn down my house. (silly I know).
Being a blogger has opened up opportunities to find so many recipes, tips and tricks on cooking. People do this all of the time. Put the food in the crock pot, plug and go…. 😀 Over the past year I’ve decided to face my fear of and start dinner in the crock pot and have it slow cook all day when I’m at work. Creating dinner this way has tremendously helped in not driving through the fast food restaurant on the way home and with meal planning.
Here is a recipe I created this week that I will be adding to my recipe binder. It is delicious! It’s not a new recipe to this blog (Mommy’s Kitchen) but it’s new to me. One thing that I have found that has helped me in finding new recipes is to “like” their Facebook pages. These cooks and chefs are always sharing new or favorite recipes and it shows up in my newsfeed…..my eyes pinned on their delicious picture and prompts me to find out more about it. YUM!

She has a printable recipe on the blog but I want to warn you that it will print out all of the how to pictures also. For me it printed on 3 pages so you may want to see how you can print just the ingredients and picture. Just sharing…..
Enjoy!

looks simple and delicious. Might it turn out a little salty with the soup and seasoning? Maybe I will have to reduce the seasoning packet or use the low sodium soup. thanks for sharing.

Hi Maureen — good call on the seasoning. Next time I will reduce a little of the seasoning as I don’t like my dishes too salty. Thanks for stopping by again. 🙂
